For me, “perfect” images are those with a soul.  Someone with a good eye who knows how to work his/her gear properly can often produce these perfect images.  Because, for me, it is not always about following the rule of thirds, having skintones ‘by the numbers’, or post-processing an image until its pixels are going to burst.  It’s about capturing an authentic moment that has a story at its core.  You may not know the story, and yet you know it precisely.  These images are already perfect as they appear on the negative.  Don’t mess with images that have soul.
